Do we need to have speeches at a semi- casual wedding reception?

My Husband and I eloped in Febuary and now we want to have a semi-casual outdoor celebration with about 200 people attending but we don't want to have speeches and a sit down dinner or anything. Just a party and a late night buffet. It will start at 8:00pm and the buffet will be served at 10:30pm any suggestions to make it special?
