I'm engaged to be married for the 2nd time. My fiance hates his family. I have kids. What should we do?

We agree that neither of us sees the point in wasting precious finances on a big expensive wedding. His family are dreadful to me and our relationship (as I am several years older and already have children) has brought out the worst in them and he has made the choice to sever ties. I tried for some time to get along with them but then they started a hate campaign about me over Facebook! LOL! I'm serious :( Suffice to say, the family has issues. To save the drama (and the money) I'm happy to elope but I am concerned about how this will effect my kids. My fiance will do whatever I want. I am not close to my family, but they did attend our large engagement party, which was to take the place of a big wedding. His family attended also but they haven't spoken to him since and made no effort to be involved on the night. His twin got married and completely overlooked us at his wedding. We got the courtesy invite and my fiance was invited to the bachelor party but then completely ignored. His twin also gave him the ultimate slap in the face and asked my fiance's worst enemy to be the best man. I didn't get an invite to the hen's night. It was discussed several times in front of me and some effort made to exclude me from the entire thing. I can't even discuss my children amongst them as they're not biologically my fiance's. I brought the kids to meet them and they gave my teenagers a pack of textas and a colouring book and proceeded to ignore them. My kids did not attend the engagement party. My daughter wants to be a flower girl when we get married. I don't know what to do! I guess I'm after others' opinions of what THEY would do. I already know what I could do. I just need to feel justified in doing it. My first marriage was horrific and I've spent a decade getting over it. I don't want any stress or rubbish in this one lol. This is a big Jerry Springer situation and its funny if you look at it from an outsider's perspective - which sadly I can't do. I just want to skip off into the future with my wonderful man and leave the crap behind!

I think you should go with the Alaska wedding. It gives you a less expensive version of your dream wedding and because of the price, you can have your wedding at your scheduled time rather than putting it off. Also, you mention that the $8,000 cost includes a week's honeymoon but if you go to NZ you'll only be able to stay 3 days. That is the biggest selling point in my opinion. You get your semi-dream wedding plus a week long honeymoon with a beautiful view at a decent price. Go for it.

IF he feels so adamant about it, you could elope & get married, then have the wedding your parents want to give you. That's the ONLY solution I can come up with for you. You can either tell them the truth, or just not let them know you've married prior & go thru with the ceremony. Talk to him about that idea & see if he will at least "compromise" for your sake as it's just plain not fair to you as to the way he's putting you in the middle. Oh sweetie, I know this is difficult. I am with you, you're an adult, sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders and are a very strong woman but you don't want to disappoint your parents. This makes it hard. You are right though. You are independent and have every right to make your own decisions. They have a right to give their input, but not to control you. They should respect your decisions, no matter how crazy they think they are, or how stupid, or how much they approve, they need to respect you and let you live your life. I hate to say it, but they may have to be mad about it for a while, then later on, see what a smart girl you are (even if you make mistakes and screw up your life royally!) and be there for you anyway. I'm sure you know there's a big difference between knowing your heart's going to get broken and it actually happening. I think all you can do is be there for him if it all goes wrong. You could talk to your female friend and explain it's ok if she does like him, she may be ignoring her true feelings if she's worried about hurting you, or maybe she doesn't like him at all. Either way you seem determined to stay close to him, which yes does mean you're a good friend, but also means you won't be getting over him anytime soon. There's a girl at school, that makes me uncomfortable?

There's a girl at my school (I'm a freshman in high school), and ever since 6th grade, this girl has had a problem with me. Dilemma in picking a maid of honor and what to do about flower girl/ring bearer?

Deciding to stay or go....husband seems lost and doesn't know what he wants?

Married for 8 years, we are total opposites, have been through a lot together. Honestly he was wishy washy from the beginning of our relationship, eloped after a rocky 6 months of dating. There was a fight in my barracks and myself and two other soldier broke it up. One of the subjects in the fight the attempted to punch me and I tackled him to the ground. Basically, I was talking to this person over facebook (let's call him Jim) and we played truth or dare, He asked me to send naked pictures to him, but I refused because I hardly knew him and wouldn't do it anyway. His ex-girlfriend who doesn't like him (let's call her Amy) spread a rumour and told all my friends that I had sent these pictures. I didn't know she had said this until a bit later though. My parents finally found out I'm pregnant, I got married in March and I'm due in November with my first baby. I've been with my husband for 9 years almost. We've had our share of problems with my parents not approving us and so forth. I have a 4.3U version of the Wii, I have a 4GB SD card, and I downloaded the HackMii installer, several wads, and I have IOS37patcher, wadmanager 1.7, and ciosrev206, which I put into an apps folder that I created. Also, I downloaded a HackMii folder from Mediafire and put the HackMii Installer into this folder. (by the way I used WinZip to extract the files onto the SD card). Unfortunately, when I put it into my wii, nothing showed up on the SD Card Menu or the Stage Builder in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. So, what do I need to do? Do I have to move the files around to different places to make it work? Or do I need a different SD Card, 2 GB or lower (which I have)?

First of all, Congratulations! About the cards, I would wait to send out your marriage announcements until your daughter is born. That way you can send formal marriage announcements with the formal birth announcements together (as in two different cards in the same envelop). Your TKD training is much more effective in a street brawl. If your opponent has a friend or 5 hanging around, they will treat you like a soccer ball while you are trying to lock in an arm bar on the floor. Outside of the octagon, your order of operation should always be avoiding, then eluding, blocking, striking, running (if you're outnumbered or a weapon is involved) and finally ground game.

Ok, I illegally downloaded Rock Band songs because I did DOP-Mii with IOS 56, ciosrev20b, and wadmanager 1.7. I just found out this was illegal, and I'm deleting all the songs that I downloaded illegally (some of them I'm keeping because I actually paid for them anyway). I am also deciding to get rid of the homebrew channel and bootmii by using Smashstack and Hackmii Installer to uninstall both of them using SSBB(Super Smash Bros. Brawl). Also, I downgraded my Wii from 4.3 to 4.1(which I will update back to later). So, am I doing anything wrong by correcting my mistakes?
