Movie about a 12 year old girl getting married to man?

okay, so a few years back i saw this movie about a musician/ singer of some sort (not entirely sure about this fact) that falls in love with his friends 12 year old daughter and they decide to get married. the father gets upset but they elope anyway. anyone have any idea what this film is called? please help! i really want to see it again. thank you!
