My friend and her bf is planning on getting married her first and his second time?

he wants to elope and she wants a traditional wedding with all the trimmings with close friends and family. i think she should go for what she wants, its not her fault his first marriage failed. he feels its a waste of time to do it all again and he had a very big wedding. if she goes ahead and plan her wedding she may not get much enthusiasm from him. any advice?
